I joined the Sharratts Solicitors team in March 2020 and I am delighted to be working in such an established and specialist family law firm.

My family law career path started whilst studying for my law degree at Derby University. I quickly realised that family law was a particular interest to me. Having obtained a 2:1 honours law degree I was fortunate enough to secure a work experience opportunity.

I then obtained a paralegal role with a local west midlands firm. I completed my legal practice course alongside this role and I went on to complete my training contract in 2019.

I was admitted to the Law Society roll as a fully qualified solicitor in September 2019.

Throughout my role as a paralegal and as a trainee solicitor I was working in the West Midlands courts and the Birmingham family court.

Over the last four years I have assisted many families in a variety of complex family law matters and I have gained valuable experience. My passion in this field of law has been fuelled by the many clients that I have helped and although the work is often challenging it is also extremely rewarding.

The role allows me to meet families across the area and to help resolve the challenges that they face.

As a solicitor at Sharratts I will be covering all aspects of family law including Public Law Children Matters, Private Law Children Matters, Domestic Abuse and Divorce and Financial Matters. I am also looking forward to developing new family law support groups or forums for those in need of advice and guidance.

The field of family law is rewarding and challenging, having the skill to adapt is key. People face different challenges and seek support in very different ways. I am always empathetic and will guide my clients through each stage in turn. I always seek to ensure my clients are not overwhelmed and understand what is happening by providing clear advice.
